Visited the beautiful Ambleside Butterfly Garden in West Vancouver today. “A community Pollinator Garden for butterflies, bees and bugs. Started by a group of Master Gardeners and volunteers and the District of West Vancouver, this garden provides habitat, food and a corridor for pollinators. We aim to create awareness. within the community about the importance of pollinators.

Observing Through the Senses:

Flowers upon flowers with pollinators. Contrast with gloomy skies above. Unique shapes of petals and leaves. Ocean waves on the shore nearby. Rainbow of colours in front of me.

Waves gently meeting the shore. Soft patter of rain. Family gathering with music at the picnic area. Footsteps of Sunday walkers.

Crunchy gravel underfoot. Cool ocean breeze. Damp clothes.

Summer rain on asphalt. BBQ from a distance.

Taste of salty sea air.
