curious homo sapien exploring and engaging with all manner of things alive on this incredible blue planet we call home
I’ve fallen down the learning rabbit hole into the incredible realm of the living world
This is a field journal and a personal blog of my adventures into the living ecosystems or topics that tickle my fancy. It’s a mixed bag. Some days I’m reading about fungi or learning to forage in local eco-systems. Many days, I’m experimenting and getting my hands dirty in both the garden and kitchen. My hope is to chronicle this learning journey as part of a life learning journey and co-inspire others to reconnect to the living world and get curious!
I acknowledge and have deep gratitude to the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh & Musqueam peoples, who are the traditional custodians of this now stolen land upon which I was both born and now thrive.
Today, as it has been for thousands of years, this land is the home of Indigenous peoples and I pay my respects to Elders past and present. These field notes are part of a living artifact of my own learning and ongoing connection to place and land of Turtle Island.
FIELD NOTES
chronicling nature explorations
Hello! Mabuhay! Gruezi!
This is my field journal.
I have a deep curiosity and passion for lifelong learning and understanding myself as a homo sapien living on this gorgeous planet that we call Earth.
In 2021 I went digital with capturing thoughts, observations and photos. This is where I document jumping into and exploring various ways of interpreting and understanding my own relationship with nature and life. By collecting these experiences, thoughts and ideas, I hope to trigger curiosity and eventually notice patterns and connections by taking notes. LOTS of notes. Off we go!
