Gorgeous afternoon between stormy days in Tofino, traditional territory of Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations.
We explored the Tonquin Trail
-easy walking trail
-through rainforests and the pacific coast beaches (Tonquin Beach, Third Beach and Middle Beach)
-facing west, so we experienced a beautiful sunset even with the clouds
-beginning of trail was easy to get to from the town of Tofino
-breathtaking view of Clayoquot Sound.
-Trail network includes a closed loop trail, gravel walking trails, board walk, stairs, many points of interest and view platforms.
-crossed through the ha-houlthee (traditional territory) of Tla-o-qui-aht, connecting with the local ecosystem
